Unity is a spiritual movement that honors all paths to God; sees God as good and everywhere present; and affirms the spark of divinity expressing as each one of us.

We welcome people of all faith traditions and those searching for answers to life’s complexities through the study of spiritual teachings.

Join us every Sunday at 11:00 am for inspiring celebration services, expressing our vision, mission and values through the sermons, prayer and uplifting music.

A variety of ministries exists within the church such as music, fellowship, and prayer and each provides an avenue for the expression of sacred service, so that our diverse membership can help create a world that works for all. In addition, workshops, classes and small group ministry offer the opportunity for spiritual development and new friendships.

The church contributes to the greater community with a variety of outreach programs such as adopting families to support and serve, contributing school supplies for classes and individuals who need help with their back-to-school costs, and we also support local food banks throughout the year.

If you consider yourself spiritual, but not religious or spiritual AND religious, or you are questioning your childhood faith or simply looking for something different, Unity may feel like a homecoming.

We hope you will experience, as many others have, the spiritual energy, fellowship and friendship that is Unity of Baton Rouge, where you can grow and make many new friends.

The 5 Basic Principles of Unity

  1. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the Universe and in my life. God the Good.

  2. Our essence is of God; therefore we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ.

  3. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in Mind.

  4. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Affirmations are tools we use.

  5. It’s not enough to know these Truths; we must also practice the Principles through prayer and meditation, then in every thought, word and action.
